Louis,

Thanks. Will post more photos next week. I've added some pieces to the interior
but have been working on sub-assemblies for the engine compartment. Need to
touch up the edges then I can install and photograph.

Hi Joe,

Keep us posted here with more photos as you progress with this great model.

Good luck!

Been along time since I've built anything.

I've returned to the GPM 1:16 Panzer III I started in late 2005. It has sat
untouched since completing just the main hull tub.

Like current GPM kits the drawing, coloring and printing is exceptional.

The instructions leave a lot to be desired, but with the reference help of
similar builds found online it should work out fine. The are discrepencies
between the instructions and printed markings as to the placement of some
parts- and two are actually shown foating in mid air, hmmm.

The level of detail on the model is high. The more parts added, the busier it
gets, which adds realism. There are more parts than I can count-almost
overwhelming. My plan is to build the pieces and subassemblies that are clearly
known and work down to the parts less clearly placed. I am keeping a close eye
on assembly order though, so I d
o not block other pieces to be added later.

For me, this parts building order will help reduce the number of parts making
it less overwhelming and also show progress so I do not get discouraged.

In the first photo it shows the added support braces I added under the raised
floor.

The other two photos are progressions.

I am quite enjoying making some progress.
