Yes, I've seen them. Funny thing for me is, my attitude used to be 180 degrees from Bob's. When David Okamura first brought a paper model to the OC IPMS, I thought it was cute, but could never imagine giving up plastic kits for paper.
That said, I haven't touched a plastic kit in months, but I've got several paper models in the works, and built one start to finish yesterday, while helping my wife prepare for her online college finals. I haven't finished a plastic kit in 3 years!
