Amen to that!  I sent Canon a note back when they put up
their first Flash/Javascript stuff (with the Science Museum
page(s)), expressing thanks and appreciation for all their
great models, along with the hope that they would avoid
going any further in that direction.  Looks like maybe I
should do it again...  :(   I imagine that the more "please
don't do this" comments they get, the more likely it might
be that something would change.

If anyone does send them (or any other site) a note about
this, though, *please* be sure to put in some appreciation
for their models and/or effort!  The current fashion for
Web-site complexity frustrates me, but I'd *really* hate
to have us lose anyone's site because of impolite/annoying
feedback on the site design.
