At 6.12 am Australian Eastern Daylight Saving Time 25 December (7.12 pm 24 Dec GMT/UTC) I can report that Santa has safely passed Canberra and is heading west. There's a package here that looks suspiciously like a paper model kit, but this year, because of family commitments, presents won't be opened until late this afternoon. Just have to hang on.
