These places are interesting. Adobe does the same thing with Photoshop. For anyone who needs or wants to learn these sites are a great addition to a bookmark list Here's the danger:? what's in the user agreement? Do they end up owning anything that goes through their portal? Working with a photo of decent size at proper resolution, say minimum 8x10 @300 ppi will be quite time consuming and use a lot of bandwidth waiting for changes (unless the program works on a proxy and then applies all changes at the end of the work). And for me, anyway, tats not large enough from a size standpoint. Most dangerous of all is there are many places popping up like this for a myriad of tasks. They are essentially test-beds for the software companies to finally reach what they have been working on for many years. Adobe, Microsoft and Quark to name just a couple of the bigger players. Namely to make all software server based (theirs) instead of you actually (owning, licensing or whatever you want to call it) a software package. This is incredible dangerous ground the computing world is headed towards. We will be beholden to them for everything because they will have absolute control. The last Photoshop File I worked on was over a gigabyte with 25 layers. I did a lot of toe-tapping waiting for changes and saving was interminable.
