I LOVED the book. Absolutely HATED the movie. I was crushed when I saw what they did to the movie. I tried to keep a little faith in hoping the plot would swing back to the book, but it didn't happen.
About the only thing they got right was the car when it was in its car mode. The boat was wrong, and, its flying mode was equally distasteful. I'm going to have to raid my parent's library for the copy and read it again. Hopefully, I can bury my memories of the movie and disavow the movie's existence.
