The springs are like paper braids. Looking at the instructions panel 20 you see strip #1 laid horizontal pointing to the right and strip #2 laid vertical and pointing up, overlapping the end of #1. Fold #1 over the end of #2 so it sanwiches the end of #2 and is now pointing to the left. Fold #2 down over #1 so it is now pointing down and sandwiches #1. Then just fold #1 to the right over #2, and #2 up and over #1. Keep folding the strips over each other, reversing the direction each time.
Those are the same kind of springs used in the escapement mechanism that is offered as a free download on the site. They work very good. :) I printed out all of the parts sheets for the clock. That's a purty thick stack-o-pages. :^) On Mar 28, 9:09 am, "Bill Spencer" <[email protected]> wrote: > Its taken a bit of TIME but I'm moving forward and getting myself into gear. > I've seen enough teeth to last me lifetime, just glad I'm not a Dentist > > I couldn't quite make out what Atom meant as regards the spring in the rachet > mechanism so I just zig-zagged the part it seems to work as the palws engage > into the rachet wheel. > > Bill > > pictures 002a.jpg > 290KViewDownload > > pictures 001a.jpg > 311KViewDownload --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Papermodels II" group.
