That sounds like an issue I have. Two years ago I had Home Depot install a new double French door on to my patio. They used raw unprotected wood on concrete for the door seals and frame. It's located on the south west corner of my house where all the weather comes from. THUS! I have rot in the door seal and frame. I'm truly sorry for you're problem. I guess this is what one gets hiring inept unqualified people to do the work the quickest and cheapest way they can. "No more Home Depot for me".
