Bob - 
Not to count rivets, but your Gloster is not a "Meteor", which had twin 
wing-mounted engines.  The plane in your picture is the Gloster E.28/39, a 
proof-of-concept testbed for Frank Whittle's turbojet engine.  It first flew on 
May 15, 1941, and was commonly known as the "Squirt".  The first Meteors 
entered service in late July, '44.  Nice build, regardless.
