Hello, everyone, I was reminded a couple of days ago of an interesting place nearby which I had never gotten around to visiting: the Craftsmanship Museum, located at the Sherline Products factory in Vista, California. Demi and I spent about an hour there this morning, admiring (all of!) and photographing (some of!) the beautiful metal and wood miniatures displayed there, along with the modelmaking shop.
I'm in the process of uploading 72 photos at full resolution (so you can see the details and read the cards) to my Picasa album, and will post the URL for your drooling pleasure when the 261 Megabytes finishes uploading. <G> In the meantime: http://www.sherline.com/ http://www.craftsmanshipmuseum.com/ I highly recommend visiting the museum to anyone who happens to be in the area. It's just a few miles east of I-5 at Carslbad, open Monday through Friday and the first Saturday of each month. Admission is free, though donations are accepted and appreciated. The staff are friendly, patient people with an extensive knowledge of the miniatures on display and how to make them. -- Mike Hungerford http://users.sdccu.net/chthulhu2/models.html Patience plus imagination equals future! --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Papermodels II" group.
