Thanks Bob.  My wife is an artist and she uses gesso to prime her canvases 
as well, never thought of that...

Since I prime all my canvases with GESSO there is a lot of the stuff around 
here so I use it when needed on card models. It may be thinned or applied thick 
straight from the jar or tube. This may upset the card modeling purist (use of 
paper only) but I am too old to fuss around when I want results.

Purchase quality Gesso; forget the cheap school grade stuff.
