This is an excellent point. Rick's forum is THE BEST online forum for paper
models, and I do value it as a resource. I find that many of the people we
rely on for keeping us supplied with the paper models we enjoy are members of
his forum, and without it, we might not have a way to interact with those model
designers who don't belong to this group.

Rick... please don't think I am attacking. Like I said, your efforts are
GOOD efforts... just not my cup of tea. Any disapproval is not on you or your
efforts but on the medium. Telling Stephen King that I like digital books
rather than paper books does not attack his writing. Don't give up on your
position just because of resistance! FIGHT BACK... like a good man who loves
the work. :)

This is more disruptive than any mailing list or forum could ever cause.

But when I see something I have put in a lot time get attacked, i get a
little defensive.

This thread will go nowhere fast

Sorry Mike, You can delete any of my posts if you want

I can tell you that I like to do everything involving conversations with

Using a forum is cumbersome and tedious. Rarely are forums using similar
software, and often I find that the forums are using software that is
incompatible with intuitive thinking. (consimworld.com, x-plane.org)

There are forums that function similarly, but then the subject matter
isn't following easy to spot layouts - sometimes a particular section that I'm
in dire need of - usually in product support forums - is almost as hard to find
as is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Or doesn't exist. Or the color
combination is either garish or the colors are too light and similar to the
background to read.

And don't even get me started on Google Groups pages. That's abysmal. I'd
rather use Yahoo Groups.

I'm not 23 any more - and I require reading glasses to read the dang
newspaper. My email program shows my mail in black and white. I'd rather have
everything in a yahoo group.

How does my forum or any forum do irreparable damage or harm?
I would like to see examples if you can provide it.
