They probably did. Ted was a stunt double for John Wayne back in the '50's. As an actor, he was Jason in one of the Friday the 13th's, he was also in Silverado, Romancing the Stone, Starman, and Against All Odds, among others, but I know him because he was married to my mom's cousin.
