Noel - As Mike says, I originally designed the Australia Post mailbox
for part of what turned out to be a less than well patronised model
challenge. Members of this list (Mike?) were challenged to produce a
model of a local mail box - after all, they are different from country
to country, and a collection of a dozen or so different mail boxes
seemed perfectly achievable. The lead time on the challenge was long
enough that even I was able to pull a model together. But I seem to
recall that in the end there were only two models made - mine and a US
post pox. The pix Mike posted were of a second model I made for
MicroCon IV as my contribution. Mike and I did a phone hookup for half
an hour or so and chatted to local members, and Mike also set up a web
cam so we could see what was happening. Video conference it wasn't, but
it did help given a sense of 'being there'.

But back to the post box. If you'd like a copy, Noel, you're welcome to
it. Let me know and I'll send you one. No instructions, but you should
be able to work it out. It has an operating tilt mechanism for posting
letters and prototypical 'grass' growing out of the concrete. I think
in the one I sent to Mike I included a letter to him - in an envelope he
could open - and a letter addressed to me with a 'bill past due -pay
now' stamp on it.

One day I'll rework the design to eliminate some of the rather heavy
fold lines, and I'll write up some instructions.
