I've started the prep work on the new issue of kooklits Type VII U-boat (in North Sea camouflage). Since I can never leave well enough alone, I've scaled the original 1:72 file up to 1:32.
My question (which applies to any card model, really) is where to trim the parts. Do I trim on the outside of the line or split it down the middle. I did not see this in any of the additional notes supplied with the original issue of this new one. Thoughts? Input? I'm also still considering what to mount the former prints to. The slot openings are 0.09". Cardboard or other? ?On the papermodelers.com group, someone has started using basswood and the results seem very clean.
