It is a good idea to give each layer a unique name instead of relying
on the default "layer 1, layer 2, etc.".  That way you know what is on
the layers when you look at the list of the layers.  It helps when you
want to edit a particular layer.

I use Paint Shop Pro, but it looks like much of the commands and such
are similar to PhotoShop.
