I once found some stuff called window decal sheets made by Hammermill while wandering through a discount/closeout store called Big Lots. They are kind of sticky on one side, but that can be worked around, and cost $2.99 USD for a pack of ten, many years ago. I keep looking in stores like that hoping to find some inexpensive supplies for various card modeling endeavours. Maybe you can find something like that in your area.
