I guess twins are just naturally fascinating. I think the brain "boggles" at the sight of twins. You senses are geared to notice subtle differences that identical twins confound. Yet, AFAIK, identical twins have lots of differences. speech, dominate hands, walk, temperament, etc. But at first sight you mind rebels at what it sees. Then natural curiosity overcomes good taste and prompts the question, "Are you two twins?"
Some snappy replies: 1. "To whom?" 2. "Yes. My twin is Robert Redford and his is Paul Newman." 3. "Almost. Just one more operation to go." Lastly, I seem to recall that twins run in families and that multiple generational twins are not that uncommon. Or not. They just look like the milkman is all. ;) - Tim ----- Original Message ----- From: "Duane Brimhall" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, September 05, 2009 7:46 PM Subject: [Papermodels II 39839] Re: Hey, where's Mandy F. been? I think it was on the Discovery Channel a few years back. But once they had a special on twins. At one point they interviewed a pair about the frequently asked, dumb question; "Are you twins?". Their reply was; "No, we're not, but are mother's are. We have the same father". I always thought that was a great comeback to that question.
