In that vein... I think there are a lot of model makers out there that have 
good ideas... but no guidance on making great models.  My files are filled with 
downloads of models that would make a great subject, and they are "build-able," 
but are just 3d models plugged into Pepakura and offered AS IS.

Some cross pollination of model making techniques would be great for this hobby 
in that regard.  I have had friends find a model they want to "try" because the 
subject appealed to them... only to give up in all model making because the 
designer offered up a mess of parts with non-inuative unfolding and no 
instructions. 

Even the most sloppy of us have a trick or two that even the best of us might 
incorporate into our model building.
