I hear ya. I gave it as a b-day present as well and had the same reaction that the ability to create personal messages would be a bit hit But that is how things got "wobbly because the even the easy model handling to change the sign turned into "dropsy" and sure enough the thing fell on the flags!
Still a great gift! ----- Original Message ----- From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Sent: Thursday, March 25, 2010 10:40 PM Subject: Re: [Papermodels II 42242] Disneyland Marquee from the Disney Experience. I used a yellow felt tip pen to color the tooth picks then gave each toothpick a coating of Testors clear dull coat. When dry they were inserted into the indicated locators and glued in place using Aleen's Tacky Glue. So far, no problem. Since this model was intended as a birthday card I just had fun and wasn't bothered with getting everything perfectly straight as expected for competitions. The personalized digital sign is certain to please my sister-in-law. The image is available to create your own Marquee sign.
