Stephan, In January 09, Benson, our 136 Lb. Rottweiler, developed an enlarged heart and got so sick that he had to be put down.
I was heartbroken. One week later our county dog pound website posted a picture of a beautiful young male Rottweiler that was up for adoption. I went to the pound the next morning and fell in love at first sight with an 80 Lb. Rottweiler puppy who was about one year old. Bentley (now 94 Lb.) has been my best friend ever since. He walks me about 2 miles every day which is good for both of us. Check out the website for your local dog pound. You may find that your next dog is waiting to be rescued.
