Hi Paul,

     I must add:

How often do you see an IPMS member hand his plastic model to a visitor for
a hand held inspection?

Jim Nunn - Master paper modeler, places his creations in IPMS
Regional competitions and walks away with awards. His entries are always
surrounded with competitors, visitors, and regular rivet counters, closely
examining
his entry. Comments such as "Scratch Built," "Kit Bashed" and the look of
horror when they are told...it is paper. Often as Jim talks with a newbee you
will see Jim's assembled paper model part being inspected by the visitor up
close at eye level.

Jayo Sutton-has new techniques showing us how to work with curved
surfaces and every so often brings in something to knock our socks off.

A very busy Dan Shippey manages to swing by to check in and updates us
with Delta 7 Studio activity.

Paper models are displayed each month on a section of table dedicated
to "Works In Progress." Us paper modelers gather there and have a blast.
David Okamura always has interested visitors marveling at what we do with
paper.

                                             David Okamura's superb Phoenix

So you see..We are alive and well.
