I am only a 4 hour flight away :)

A 14 hour for me. However I have already seen it (before the score was added) and it is made of awesome. "Yamato 2010" should be a huge hit. I was amazed that Toho found actors who were that close to Mtsumoto Leiji's art. especially the Captain. Sets and FX are the best I have seen from Japan (who has been seriously kicking Western butt when it comes to quality of the work and realistically integrating it into the finished film). Unlike the West where producers thing CG is the be all and end all, Asian film understands it is best to pick which type of FX work best for the scene and often combine methods in the same scene. The US desperately needs to learn this (they also need to understand whgat a good story is too but that is beside the point) This is a great film and needs to be seen on the big screen. to quote Sam Goldwyn (who's name really was Sam Goldfish), "Don't miss it if you can!"

                                                                cat
