I posted came from a Japanese site:

The site has changed since I downloaded the file many years ago.
There used to be an animation you could manipulate to see how the
triangle is made.

I also made a model of a waterwheel illusion that M. C. Escher drew.
That download is no longer available it seems.  Like I mentioned and
like the text mentioned on the site you referenced as long as you have
the correct angle and distance from the model you will get the optical
illusion to work.

Have you seen the dragon optical illusion at this site?

The word "download" in the sentence "You can download a copy of the
actual dragon and try this illusion for yourself if you wish." is the
download link.  That illusion really freaks people out when they get
it to work.
