Dear Friends,

My mother passed away peacefully and easily early Saturday morning,
December 11th. She was 94 and lived a full and wonder-full life. She
had senior dementia and the grieving process has been ongoing.
However, as one of her hospice nurses put it best: "We can prepare our
minds; we can't prepare our hearts." It hit me so much harder and more
deeply than I ever would have imagined. While my family and I rejoice
in her life and her release from a body that had simply grown too old,
we also mourn for ourselves.

Thank you for being my friends,

Christine
