As  an active plastic modeler I wanted to build a model of the light airplane 
in which as a teen ager I learned how to fly. There was no plastic model 
available of the Aeronca Champ.  At one of the IPMS meetings David Okamura 
suggested I try Robert J. kaelin’s card model; been hooked ever since. Photo 
attached.
Second reason: the same year I suffered pneumonia twice. The doctors 
pin-pointed the problem as my use of cyanoacrylate “hot glue” and its 
accumulated affects from all my hours plastic modeling.
