This one's pretty much the most advanced iteration of this technology i've ever seen, but this is not new: https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/3D_printer and is not exclusive: https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/RepRap_Project This is an effort to create a self-replicating 3D printer, which means that one of these could print another one, which could do the same and so on. It's on the beginning stages so it doesn't quite work as intended, and it needs some actual parts, but it's a good start.
In the end, papercraft is not the same thing as this (the Craft Robo would be closer), but i find it inevitable that the two things would join into something new at some point. 2011/7/9 Len <[email protected]>: > I'm not sure if this has been posted before, but is this the future of > our hobby? > > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZboxMsSz5Aw > > Len > > -- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups > "Papermodels II" group. > To post to this group, send email to [email protected]. > To unsubscribe from this group, send email to > [email protected]. > For more options, visit this group at > http://groups.google.com/group/papermodels?hl=en. > > -- "Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn’t go away."
