Howdy Jayo & Folks,
I am honored to be mentioned with the names Jayo Sutton and Jim Nunn.
Sadly, due to family obligations, David Okamura has been kept away from his
hobby table and his work has been absent from competition. However, David
continues promoting card modeling and is present at club meetings.
The Fiddlers Green B-10 was a bata build prior to my using the
economical Future Acrylic Floor Wax so the B-10 has many coats of Krylon
Acrylic Clear from the more expensive rattle can. I had intended to enter it
and the B-17 as display only but found it was much easier to enter them into
competition when filling out the IPMS registration paperwork.
The Rutan B-17 was a relatively easy kit bash build using the
FiddlersGreen Black & White version. In addition to model clubs this model has
been shown at veterans meetings, and it has been held by a number of aviation
artists when I brought it along for a week long American Society of Aviation
Artists forum where we visited SCALED COMPOSITES and met Dick and Burt. There
are a few pictures at:

Yes, the heavily coated with Future 32’ Street Rod is Zio Prudenzio’s
design. Quite a change from my normal airplane models and a very enjoyable
build, so that is saying a lot honoring Zio’s design.
The Pitts however, is not from Fiddlersgreen. I just reviewed over
sixty 700MB CD-Rs and have been unable to locate any info as to which company
issued the kit. Interestingly I grabbed it from the display cabinet as an after
thought and brought it along just to add something to the paper category for
this competition.
Thank you Jayo not only for your write-up but being there, inspiring us
who follow in your footsteps. Pictures do not show the magnificent
craftsmanship of what you and Jim Nunn placed on that competition table.
