Dayton, Ohio and the area around has a lot to see....especially if you are interested in flight and technology. Air Force Museum is free, and you can spend a day, easily. The restoration area is sometimes open, and well worth another 3 or 4 hours. Down town Dayton has some interesting things : Wright Brothers bicycle shop is now a museum. The original Wright brothers flying field, Huffman Prairie, is still open to visitors, though it was and still is a pasture. http://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/index.asp

Wapakoneta, OH, North of Dayton, has the Armstrong Air & Space Museum. Urbana OH has a group working to "restore" a B-17 ... but the original is so deteriorated they are really building. They plan to have a flying aircraft, eventually. There are also some aircraft from the 1920's and 1930's including a working AutoGyro there. South Dayton airport has a Wright Flyer, as does Deeds Carillon Park in Dayton. Seem a lot of aircraft stuff? Remember it was INVENTED and developed here. The Wright-Patterson AFB is now seriously involved in Unmanned aircraft, as are local colleges and universities. Some local Amateurs fly FPV which is Radio Controlled with an on-board camera. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wn5uY1qe4gg. Much of what we consider 'modern' technology was invented in Ohio, and Deeds Carillon Park has many things to see. Cash register history, early Automobiles, and Bicycles. Are you interested in Amateur Radio? Dayton Hamvention will meet 18 - 20 May. There may be 25 000 ham operators all in one place. The Flea Market is huge! http://www.hamvention.org/index.php Do you bike? We have miles of bicycle and walking trails. You can go from near Cincinnati, OH to as far North as Urbana, OH. Many of the trails are old converted railroads, so are quite level and easy to ride. There are camping areas for tenting or mobile home camping. I ride a Greenspeed GTR, and have camped often on it with my son (also GTR rider). My wife has a GT3, though doesn't ride as much as she did in the past. http://www.traillink.com/state/oh-trails.aspx Do you Quilt? Sew? There are active groups in this area. Kathy says the spare bedroom would be open. 39 42' 52"N 84 21' 20"W according to Google Earth.
