The fit of the parts isn't an issue at all Mark, my build was the
problem. The model is seriously accurate fit wise, it's just that when
you build this thing you have to be so very accurate in cuts, folds and
gluing because otherwise the builders inaccuracies compound. What you
can't see is the fact that looking along the top of the gun there is a
very slight kink to one side. This was my fault, the top ribbed part is
diabolical to make even though the actual fit is so good and this caught
up with me when it came time to glue this section to the main
body...alignment problems showed up there and also when the
trigger/handle section was fitted. Not a biggie really but I thought I'd
mention it if anyone was going to build the model. I can't say enough
about how nice this thing is to put together and what a beautiful job
Jan has done on it. When I look at mine and then compare it to Jan's,
from the youtube closeup video build, I feel a bit inadequate.
I could do a lot better if I were to do it again but given the time
spent I don't think I'll be alive long enough !!.
Next build is going to be his Terminator 2 Endo Rifle...only 16 pages
rather than the 38 pages of the Terran cannon. Looking forward to this
one.
