There was a papercraft model of the US Civil War ironclad U.S.S. Monitor on
the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration website, but it seemed
like something went wrong during the scanning process of the original
templates, because an important part of the hull got cut off:

tml :o(

I gave it a go to try and fix the parts (by simply mirroring part of the
hull to make it whole again, and touching up some other small issues like on
the stand) and then I sent them my new PDF file. And apparantly they liked
it, because they uploaded it to their website to replace the faulty file
now!

I have to admit that I didn't test my fixes myself though, but I reckoned
the model is pretty much symmetrical, so it should all fit...! ;o)

And because of my printer margins in making the PDF file, it might not be
exactly scale 1:144 anymore (not sure?) but it's still a good size of
course!)

Here's the website with the Monitor paper model (scroll down a bit and click
the two links under "Monitor paper model":
