Peter Dahmen makes "Paper Engineering & Pop Ups". He seems to think they're pure impractical art, but I see the framework of very portable tabletop gaming scenery:

It has railings and what looks like a steampunk canon mount on its roof.. Sadly there are no patterns, but at least he's shown that it's possible. Mark L.
