My mate Collsie, the mechanic with his own business, is having a birthday soon and when I saw this broken down old garage on http://papermau.blogspot.com.au/ I immediately thought of him !. The model photos on papermau show it as having an interior but when the model was downloaded it had no interior walls. This being the case I just printed the walls twice and used them as an interior.
Once I had the garage built I thought I should add some details. You might remember I gave him a model of a Ford Thunderbird and I had used a photo of a gorilla with Collsie's head on it as the driver. This seemed to be a good idea to me so once again I got hold of a photo of a gorilla, put his face on it and added a big yellow banana for effect. I also found a really neat model of a model T bucket hotrod on papermau so I GIMPed his name on the side and put his face on the boot. Both models are really nice to build and worth the effort, with the T bucket I rolled the stacks on the engine instead of using the flat ones provided and instead of the flat, two sided extractors, I left the headers flat but added a tab and rolled the pipes. In case you were wondering, he laughed so hard when he saw it that he nearly fell over...who needs enemies when yo have a friend like me !.
