A while ago I built fiddlersgreen Gigant. The wing span was over 40". I used
copious amounts of tissue paper and it worked.Ed

That’s really good to know.
Do you have any thoughts on how to do this for a thicker wing?

Howdy Folks,

The wing shown here is from the Fiddlers Green Burgess-Dunne Flying
Wing.
http://www.fiddlersgreen.net
Normally I burnish indicators for wing ribs from the parts page back side on a
light table with tissue in-between the wing and table glass.
I found this technique at www.papermodelers.com.showing thin strips of
cardboard representing each rib glued onto a cardboard strip. The upper inside
surface of the wing is treated with Elmers white glue thinned with water. The
assembly then is pressed into a mouse pad.
The result renders dips between the ribs as would be seen on a fabric covered
airplane wing.
Give it a try.
