I use a Cannon Pixma MP500 printer. I like that it has 4 cartridges
(yellow, magenta, cyan, black) for printing images & colored print-outs
plus a bigger black cartridge for printing documents & black & white
print-outs. When I used the HP I went through black ink like crazy.
I mostly use the cheap 20lb paper that Wal-Mart sells for around $3 a
ream. I think the finished model looks better with lighter paper,
especially if there are lots of details or small parts. I only use card
stock if the model is going to be handled a lot or is being made for a
child. I use 80lb cardstock, also cheap from Wal-Mart.
Several years ago I made the busts of Dracula & Frankenstein from the
light paper. I decorate with them every Halloween & they still look
really good.

I'm interested to know which printer (and paper) other papercrafters
use for papercraft?
I asked the question on my papercraft weblog:
http://ninjatoes.blogspot.com/2016/03/what-kind-of-printer-do-you-use-for.html
So you can leave a comment there (you can stay anonymous, since you
don't need to have a Blogger account or log in to leave a comment on
my papercraft webpage ;o)
Or here, if you prefer; I just hope people are willing to share their
experiences with printers for papercraft!
Thanks in advance!
