I've had good luck with both Epson and Hewlett-Packard printers in the color
department. The inks aren't cheap though. Costco has the ink I use, but the
last time I got some there, a package containing two black and the C-M-Y
package set me back about $130.00 - 140.00 USD.
I've heard Canon printers are good also and the inks are less expensive.
Although that word is about 5 years old.
The colors will run if the paper gets wet and a clear coat is not used to
preserve the print.
Been thinking about converting over a continuous ink system to save some bucks.
Might try it soon...

I had a Halinsky Hawker Hurricane printed at a commercial place and they
used laser. The problem I found was that the laser printer puts a film
on top of the paper and it cracks when you fold it.....
