I live in a Senior's retirement community with a lot of ladies that update
every year. I found current versions with minimal hours for $200 for a 12 inch
machine and $300 for a 24 inch machine. I could not edit as well as I wanted
to, but great for repetitive parts like tank tracks. It is an investment, but
if you build armor, it would be worth it in time saved. With the planes, boat
and cars, great for wheels, but issues with light colors and multiple detail
lines. It does scan in color or black and white. Hopefully the new 600 dpi
machines will solve some issues, but at $800 for the new models, not anything I
am going to buy! I don't need all the quilt and card patterns stored on the
machines. Might get your wife one for Christmas so she can start sewing quilts
and making greeting cards, LOL!!!
