My Cousin Jim was an incredible guy. He told me this story sometime
in 2003, or 2004. I cannot find his message so I will have to
reconstruct it from memory. The story is true. I have no idea who the
actual characters were, so I will fill in as best I can.

Some years ago, Cousin Jim went to Northern Kentucky to visit
friends. They had a young son, about 6 years old. Just up the road
from their farm was a National Forrest. The boy asked Jim to take him
for a walk in the Forrest so he could see " A Little Deer." Jim took
him for the walk. They had been out for over three hours. No little
deer. Time to start for home. As they walked back, Jim saw an
underbrush covered trail leading off toward the West. There was
something about that trail that would not let him pass it by. So he
and the boy started up the trail. Up ahead noise. Something was
approaching them. It was a small girl. She was in bad shape. Jim
rushed her to the nearest ranger station. She had become lost from
her family who were camping in the Forrest. Three days ago. Search
parties were combing the woods, but too far North. Reporters
interviewed Jim. " What were you doing in the woods, Mr. Allen? " My
young friend here wanted to see a little deer." " Did you see one ?"
No, we didn't see a little deer. Instead, we found a little Dear."

Cousin Jim Passed away on December !st, 2004.
