Berk,

I submitted a bug report, see http://paraview.org/Bug/view.php?id=8268.

The Programmable Filter is a very nice tool. Beside the bug report, I have a
couple of suggestions for possible enhancements:

It may help to have a "Load" and a "Save" button for loading/saving the script.
Once the script works, I save it and set the pythonpath variable, but while
developing it may be easier to just load from an external file.

Another feature that in my opinion could help is the following. The output of
the filter is reported in the "Output Messages" window, which pops up. This
window can be visualized using "Tools" > "Output Window". Should this output
window be available as another "view", then one could use it to print messages
that are not error messages from the Programmable Filter. For example, the user
may list the FieldData() or other statistics (integrals, block names, min/max),
or simply write a "filter OK" at the end of the computation.

Subject: Re: [Paraview] Parameters for Programmable Filter

This is a feature we need to implement. I hope to have it in 3.6. Can you
please file a feature request in http://paraview.org/Bug and let me know.
The programmable filter should have a way of specifying a list of parameters
that can then be exposed through the custom filter object inspector.
