Dear ParaView and VTK developers,

EDF is seeking a young and motivated engineer in Scientific Visualization, 
candidates from the VTK and ParaView community are welcome.

EDF is the leader of electricity production in France and is well 
established in Europe. The R&D division (2000 people) contributes to 
develop the company performances and its future. 

The Neutronics Simulation Information Technology and Scientific Computing 
Department (SINETICS) contribute to develop competitiveness production of 
electricity (nuclear, thermal and hydraulic). 

EDF uses 3D in virtual reality to prepare and optimize complex maintenance 
operations, and in scientific visualization to post-process numerical 
simulations. The aim is to understand and analyze complex and large 
numerical simulations.

We are looking for a: 

Research Engineer in scientific visualization (H/F)
Located at Clamart (92) close to Paris, France

You will be part of the  Scientific Visualization project and will be 
asked to :
*interface with internal customers to identify their needs and propose 
them technical and innovative solutions,
*prepare detailed specifications,
*analyze, design and develop new applications (including coding, 
testing?),
*provide user support on these applications,
*participate to professional events to contribute to the company?s 
expertise in this field.

We are looking for a candidate with a high scientific background (engineer 
or PhD) and a specialization in scientific visualization and virtual 
reality. You have a first experience or a thesis in this field and are 
comfortable with numerical simulation. You could also know : VTK, Paraview 
and SALOME.

You are fluent in English and have notions in French. You also have very 
good communication skills.
