Hello,

I am trying to plot streamlines on the surface of an aircraft using Paraview 3.40. My data contain a multiblock structured surface grid only (no volume) with a 3 component vector at each point of the grid (may be the surface velocity vector from Euler flow computation or the skin friction vector from NS computations) . I try to follow the example given in http://www.paraview.org/Wiki/Custom_Filters for creating a custom Surface Streamlines filter but I get only short lines from the seed points. Also I can reproduce the example given in http://www.paraview.org/Wiki/Custom_Filters with a slice by a plane but this example does not work if the slice is not a plane (trying with a sphere). I don't undestand how to obtain surface streamlines if the surface is not a plane. Is there an example or a tutorial for surface streamlines on non planar surfaces?
Thanks in advance.
