There is a second stream tracer filter called a "Stream Tracer (Custom Source)" will use as seed points any geometric object that you feed it. Although the interface is not perfect, it should get you what you want. One approach is to slice your data and then use the slice as the seed points. Another approach is to create a plane source and use that as seed points.

I know I can do it many times with lines, and save these as custom filters, but each time I save then load custom filters I have to re-enter all the data about line widths, colors, etc. Thanks in advance, Martin _______________________________________________ Powered by www.kitware.com Visit other Kitware open-source projects at http://www.kitware.com/opensource/opensource.html Please keep messages on-topic and check the ParaView Wiki at: http://paraview.org/Wiki/ParaView Follow this link to subscribe/unsubscribe: http://www.paraview.org/mailman/listinfo/paraview **** Kenneth Moreland *** Sandia National Laboratories *********** *** *** *** email: [email protected] ** *** ** phone: (505) 844-8919 *** web: http://www.cs.unm.edu/~kmorel
