And, as Ken Moreland suggested last month, you also have this option:

"If you just want to see a list of point coordinates, you could create a 
spreadsheet view and view your grid in that."

The selections will be linked so selecting points on the surface will highlight 
rows in the spreadsheet view, and you can view coordinates there (without 
needing to use the calculator filter).
