One additional detail that would be handy to know for the OS-X builds: Whether the Qt version used was built with Carbon or Cocoa. Nokia offers both as binary downloads. The Carbon build is 32 bit only, so presumably it is the Carbon version of Qt for ParaView-3.8.0-RC2-Darwin-Universal.dmg and the Cocoa version of Qt for ParaView-3.8.0-RC2-Darwin-x86_64.dmg , but it would be nice not to have to guess.
