Hi!
I have recently noticed, that when starting the pvserver in parallel mode, it
uses the full capacity of all CPU's it's started at, regardless if there is
actually something visualized or not. Is there any option to prevent this?
Apart from there is the idea to install ParaView at the new supercomputer in
Vienna, the VSC (Vienna Scientific Cluster). Since it is open source, I
suppose, there are no judicial problems, but please correct me if I am wrong.
So I wanted to ask about parallel reading of files and so on - ParaView does
that for sure, but honestly, I don't really know which fileformat this
requires. HDF5 can be read correctly, I think, since there is a compiler
option, but other file formats - it would be nice if you could point me
somewhere to read about "ParaView on supercomputers".
