The difference is due to vtkSMRenderViewProxy::CreateDefaultRepresentation returning either an UnstructuredGridRepresentation for unstructured data, UniformGridRepresentation for image data and GeometryRepresentation for other datasets. The representations from the plugins only appear with the GeometryRepresentation. Do you know how to fix this?
