Hi Karl, A user has reported the problem on the CFD-Online forum recently which I also was able to reproduce on OS X. http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/openfoam/74355-issue-involving-paraview.html#post281435 (the discussion starts from Oct. 30) I didn't file the problem as a bug because as written in my post I see the problem only with 3.8.1 but not with 3.8.0 or 3.9-Development.
