Hi, I asked a while ago for the possibility to expose BlendMode (MIP is one of the BlendMode) in rendering proxies and I was granted : http://www.cmake.org/pipermail/paraview/2009-October/014157.html

However, I don't know how easily you can toggle the BlendMode from python shell...
