Actually, a better solution is to apply the Merge Blocks filter after the Extract Block filter. Then you shouldn't have to save and reopen.
But to answer your question, save it as a vtm file and then open up the directory pointed to by the .vtm file and open up the one vtk file inside. David E DeMarle Kitware, Inc.
