Merci for your answer, but it doesn't really solve my problem... I have a file series of textures (jpeg) and would like to map them on a sphere and use the animation feature of paraview. Any ideas how to do this?

(filters->TexturemaptoSphere for example ), you can use cylinder of plane is you want.
